It seems to be a bit of a trend at the moment, and once again I’m leaping onto bandwagons as they go by! My blogging experience so far has been wonderful and I’ve met so many great people that I want to give something back. I’ll admit, if it drives a little traffic to my blog in the process I’m not going to complain, but you are under no obligation to post links.
I’m shamelessly copying this idea from another blog (and if you own that blog, please tell me so I can add a link to this post – I’ve quite forgotten where I got the idea from!) and if you post a comment, you receive one entry into the competition. Posting a link to this or another post, or adding this blog to your blogroll will give you extra entries, but I don’t want people to feel obliged to do this – ultimately it’s about giving someone what I hope will be a fun gift!

So, the prize! You will receive a package containing items chosen especially for you. There will be an assortment of purchased and handmade gifts (the latter will probably be jewellery) and if someone from outside the UK wins, I’ll try to throw in a few “typically British” things too, I find Cadburys chocolate seems to be a hit with Americans! To gain one entry, all you need to do is leave a comment containing the following information:
- Your favourite colour(s)
- Your birthday (for astrological / birthstone reasons)
- The kinds of things you like to receive through the post! (in the form of a list of likes such as “stickers, pink things, paper ephemera and Hello Kitty merchandise” well, you get the idea.
At the moment I’m only promising one prize, but if, when I go shopping for items I find myself so inspired I may well draw for runner-up prizes too. The competition will be open until 6pm GMT on Thursday 29th January and will be drawn that evening. I’ll try to remember to post a link in my TiLT to remind people they only have a few hours left to enter.

I’ve seen Cadburys chocolates in stores here in the U.S.; I get a chocolate egg or two in my Easter basket. But, I read somewhere that the American Cadbury chocolates tasted completely different from the U.K. Cadbury chocolates…as in the U.K. version tasted much better.
