It’s back!  Neglected last week due to the craziness that is spending time with my family, but I’m back on schedule now and ready to share my favourite reads of the last couple of weeks! One of my intentions for this blog is to expand the list of blogs I read so that I have even more fabulous links to share with you all, so watch this space, hopefully my roundup posts will become longer and more diverse as the weeks go on!

* One blog I’ve only recently started reading is Girl Meets Business, and this year, a series of posts entitled “How to be a YP Rockstar” look like they’re going to prove to be exceedingly interesting reads for anyone, whether you would consider yourself a young professional or not.

* If you’re lucky enough to be going on holiday soon, Amanda Lee has some good advice on “How to Prepare Your Apartment for a Long Vacation“, a checklist of things to remember before you leave that will help you avoid disaster when you arrive home. Pony has written a guide entitled “How to Pack Light” which should also help your travels go smoothly, especially if you’re like me and tend to want to pack your entire wardrobe every time you go away!  Freya has made a post on “Airport  Etiquette” which I’m sure will resonate with anyone who’s ever had to spend a long time in a departure lounge awaiting a delayed flight.

* Via Unclutterer (a blog whose advice I really must start following!) Apartment Therapy‘s “Best Small Space Solutions” of 2008 are exceedingly inspiring if, like me, you have far too much stuff for the space in which you live!

* Somewhat in the vein of the above, Aimee Marie presents an article entitled “Tidying up Your Beautiful Life“. If one of your New Years resolutions or goals is to unclutter as mine is, this is a really great step-by-step guide to making it as painless as possible and extending it to all areas of your life, not just the physical space in which you live.

* On the subject of goals, Gala‘s “2009: Words Which Mean Something” challenges her readers to choose a motto for the new year. Her own choice of mottos are powerful indeed, and definitely a good guide for anyone wanting to have an empowering and fabulous year.

* Yesterday, Dollface of The Rotton Little Girls made a post containing “8 Reasons why Sex and the City is not a good Role Model“. A brilliant post, she makes some really good points, it’s definitely worth a read if you’re fan or even just a casual viewer.

* Freya‘s “The Art of Meditation” introduces simple meditation techniques for beginners, great if you need to de-stress!

* The Glamourous Grad Student has made a post on a style dilemma I think most of us can probably identify with – finding the perfect basic t-shirt. “Anatomy of the Perfect Tee” explores what makes the perfect t-shirt and how to choose one for you.

* Finishing up with a quick recipe, because I’m definitely a foodie at heart, Tres Lola has written up instructions on “How to Make a Delicious & Nutritions Vegetarian Pizza” which I’ve made a similar version of and is indeed a delight to eat!

I’ve only been at work for one other day this week, but going in this morning felt like such a chore – I’m really not looking forward to a full week next week! I hope you’re all coping ok being back to the normal routine after the seasonal break, and if you’re still on holiday, I envy you! Have a good Friday and a fabulous weekend!

xx
