Sparkle Roundup!

The photo above is of the Birmingham skyline at night, because that’s where I’ll probably be by the time you’re reading this. I have another study weekend so I may be slow to reply to posts and comments, but I’ll catch up on Sunday evening.

For now, please sit back and enjoy the best my Google reader had to offer this week!

* For all those of you who have been reading blogs and thinking of starting your own, Problogger has the post for you this week. “Starting Your First Blog? 29 Tips, Tutorials and Resources for New Bloggers” contains some really great information to get you going. Go on, do it! It’s the best thing I’ve done in a very long time”

* The Positivity Blog is brilliant, and this week’s offering of “8 Awesome Reasons to Blast Negativity Out of Your Life, and How to Do it” is no exception.

* Nubby Twiglet‘s post entitled “Keep it Simple” is just one of those posts everyone should print out and stick in the front of their diary, or above their desk.

* Tres Lola‘s “6 Tips to Save You Money on Your Next Night Out” are fabulous if, like me, you always end up spending more on a night out than you intend to!

* Sarah Von highlights some “Travel essentials you didn’t know you needed“, the title’s self-explanatory and even the most paranoid traveller (i.e. me, I pretty much take a full survival kit when I go travelling) may forget some of these!

* Erica from Gorgeously Neurotic has made a wonderful post on “Recovering from Codependency” a topic she deals with really sensitively and beautifully, with sone excellent advice I think even those of us who haven’t displayed any signs of codependence can take something from!

* Syden Therese has made a great post on “How to Deal With Betrayal“, with some excellent, practical advice.

* Angela of “Girl Meets Business” has made an eye-opening post entitled “Do you have real style?” about how style goes beyond simply fashion.

* Gala‘s post with “Horoscopes for the Year of the Ox” are great, and as a pig, they have predicted me a fabulous year ahead, so I’m happy!

* Amber of Code for Something has written an exceedingly interesting post entitled “Authentic Stories” about how branding and authenticity work together.

*  I must admit, one of my biggest failings is being terrible at keeping in touch with people and Coop has written a great post on just that: “Three reasons to keep in touch & tips on how to do it“, I’ll definitely be following the advice!

* Freya‘s post in response to a reader’s question on “The Hunt for Inspiration” contains some great pointers on things you can do to get inspired.

* Doe Deere Blogazine has written “The Short Post“, all about life when you’re small in stature! I’m only 5’1 so I loved this post!

Have a fabulous weekend!

xx

  • Thanks so much for the link! By the way, I’m only 4’11″ & that post about short girls is so amazing! I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but I often find myself feeling an instant connection to other short girls. I think all of us suffer from a little bit of that Napoleon syndrome. We have to do something big to prove to ourselves – & everyone else – that being physically small does not mean we are mentally small! <3

  • I always look forward to your list of links, Vixel, so THANK-YOU! :)

  • I heaps loved Nubby’s Keep It Simple post – she was so spot on with that one. Good stuff :D

Thanks for the link plug, my love!

I’m definitely going to be checking out all these links today.

    xoxo
