Following on from my post the other day, I have had a bit of a chaotic week characterised mostly by large amounts of work, sleepiness, and the aftermath of both – namely a tip of a house and the after-effects of eating absolute rubbish for days on end. Still, there have been good moments, such as:
* Finishing my essay – I don’t think I really need to say any more! Getting it finished is a huge relief – it means the pressure’s off for a while, at least until after my next study weekend, when the exam revision begins!
* Looking forward to a four-day weekend – hooray for Easter! Today is like Friday!
* eBay finds – I bought a dress about two years ago that I love, and there were quite a few available in the same style but different prints. Every so often I search eBay and see if there are any up for sale and this week I found a nice polka-dot one in my size! The perfect addition to my summer wardrobe!
* Job interviews – I have one on Friday, wish me luck!
* Seeing people succeed – A couple off people I know gained much-deserved new jobs recently, with great prospeccts. An ex-colleague also appears to have got his film acting career off to a great start with a part in The Damned United.
* Diet Coke – I’m not sure how I’d get through an afternoon without it at the moment! Terribly unhealthy of course, but at least it’s low in calories!
* Barbecues – the first one of the year was on Sunday, and was marvellously good fun! This weekend we’re clearing up our back garden so that we can host our own, or just have an impromptu gathering on a sunny evening.
* Taxis – I don’t get sick pay in my job, yet it’s taken me months to realise that it’s better to “waste” £5 on a taxi when feeling too lethargic and vile to walk to the bus stop yet fine to sit at a desk all day, than it is to call in sick and lose a day’s pay.

* Other: summer dresses with tights and cardigans, Easter cupcakes, Cadburys Creme Eggs, wearing glittery make-up during the day, strawberries, curling up with a mug of tea and a book, taking the time just to watch TV without my laptop in front of me, sesame shochu with tonic, great new blogs, making plans, post-its… everywhere, watching the neighbours’ cats, fresh air in the morning, drinking lots of water, planning outfits!
What’s made your week sparkle and glitter?

oOOOOh best of luck for the interview!!!!!
It’s a pretty depressing week for me sadly, as I’ve got to revise (AGAIN!!!!!) as have exams in a week and a half!! But being positive…
- Shopping with Mum! Got a Jaeger blazer at the designer outlet which is white and 1920s style and I cannot wait to blog about!
- Posh houmous from the Coop
- Blueberries, blackberries and black grapes (yep, more food)
