I made the decision to keep posting Things I Love Thursday posts because I love the fact that we all write them on the same day, and they give me a reason to think about the good things that happen, even when I haven’t had the greatest of weeks.
This week has been somewhat slow-moving, but here’s the things that made my week sparkle:
* Direction – The survey responses and discussion have given me some really clear ideas of what I want to write in the future. It may take a while to get going, as I’m trying to focus on quality over quantity and don’t really have anything queued up yet, but it’s all given me a really great insight into what kind of articles I write well.
* Response – The response to my last post made me grin from ear to ear so I thought it deserved a separate bullet point. If I haven’t replied to all the comments by the time this is posted, I will do asap
* Treats – I had a really rubbish day yesterday that was brightened up by the boy returning home from work bearing a delicious Indian sweet dessert snack! I have no idea what it’s called but apparently it’s traditional when a boy is born (his boss’s wife just had twins), it was orange in colour and deliciously sweet and honey-like!
* Random Purchases – even though I can’t really afford them, this week I have purchased, amongst other things, an awesome glitter eyeliner, a book by a guy whose name I can neither pronounce nor spell and more awesome dresses! I think the dresses may well deserve their own post at some point, I seem to be addicted to buying them.
* Weekend Plans – A book fair, a club night and a music festival at the university, I probably won’t get to all three but it’s going to be a good weekend non-the-less!
* Maru the cat!
* Other - Kinder eggs and making the toys, 80′s music, wholesale strawberry Pocky, early mornings and early nights, finding season 3 of Six Feet Under for £10, chorizo and three-bean soup, freshly dyed hair, my sequinned beret, sleeping, my morning coffee (now that I’ve cut down on caffeine overall I appreciate it so much more).

lol, thanks for posting Maru the Cat. Hilarious! I like how he divebombs the boxes! That certainly brightened my Thursday.
Haha! Maru the cat was most delightful. Thanks for sharing =D
What are kinder eggs?
YUM (to the indian dessert!)
@ Ash – you should search for “Maru and box” on YouTube, there’s a longer box video that’s equally as hilarious!
@ Jackie – They’re really yummy chocolate eggs with a plastic toy inside that you usually have to put together. Cheap and tacky, but the chocolate’s yummy and the toys are oddly fun!
@ GirlonTour – it certainly was!
