Thursday again, and this week has been another crazy one, I don’t seem to have had a normal, boring week for quite a while! This can only be a good thing however, as despite how tiring it’s been, boring weeks are not good. Though I really could do with having a rest this weekend!
This week, a liberal sprinkling of glitter has been provided courtesy of:
* Recitals – I genuinely enjoyed my brother and sister-in-law’s degree recitals, and not just because I was there to support family. Good music is always inspiring and now I want to get a little more culture into my life!
* Lastminute.com - For the great one-day deal that led to me having a fabulous night’s sleep on Saturday in a very nice hotel for less than the 2-star dump I cancelled. Now the search is on for a similarly good deal for exam week!
* Friends – instead of going out on the Saturday night of my course weekend like we usually do, I ended up in a bar drinking wine and bonding with one of the girls on the course over music and being geeks! It was nice to hang around with another female for a change, I think I spend a little too much time with guys.
* TV! – I make no apologies, I’ve been watching lots of great TV recently! Dollhouse, Fringe, Heroes and Lost have been amongst the highlights, and with most of those finishing I’m thinking of embarking on watching Bones, since I caught an episode and rather enjoyed it. (It had Stephen Fry talking about the different types of metal (music) and dancing, what’s not to love?).
* Taking a break from the job hunt- I’ve put it to the back of my mind until after my exams now, there’ll be more time to concentrate on applications etc. when they’re over. At the moment searching for jobs is just another distraction from revision, and my current job affords me a lot of time to get my online “obligations” completed so I can study each night.
* Other – Giant strawberries, waking up with the sun on my face, hugs, inspiring messages, lovely comments, re-working old clothing, long chats about life in general, saving money, glittery gel pens, drinking lots of water.
What’s made your week sparkle?
xx

TV is pretty good at the moment – I love fringe, heroes and lost as well.
great list! i really love all of the things in the other category. glittery gel pens are AWESOME.
You should definitely watch Bones! If you like that list then you’ll love Bones too – my top 5 TV programs right now are Dollhouse, Lost, Fringe, Bones & Heroes!
The characters are great and both the episode & long term story arcs are brilliant. Stephen Fry’s character is great – the episode you saw was his second stint on the show.
If you like, I can burn the avi files of the previous seasons to dvd and post them your way? It’s best watched from the beginning – for the back story and the relationship developments. Just send me an email if you want ‘em
Ooh that’s a lovely offer Zoe! I think my other half actually has it on the way already though, so we’re covered. Thank you!
