Welcome to November! A month of fireworks, hot soup, being in denial of the rapid approach of Xmas, birthdays, German markets and wrapping up warmly! My week has sparkled in no small thanks to the following:
* Spooks is Back – Last night saw the return of one of my favourite TV shows, and although it wasn’t the best episode ever, even a poor episode of Spooks is still awesome television! I’m not going to say too much here in case there are any fans reading who haven’t seen it yet (or read the myriad of spoilers that have been all over the place for weeks) but I’m just so glad to see it back!
* Pre-Thinking- In a week, particularly since discovering the wealth of homebrew apps, my new phone has gone from shiny new toy to essential part of my life! I’ve even installed a WordPress plugin that gives me a mobile-ready dashboard to update from, so I can write and edit posts on the move! I’m not sure what I ever did without it!
* Music- I’ve been listening to – and loving – the new Sonata Arctica album, as well as lots of bleep-y goth-y stuff like Razed in Black and The Cruxshadows amongst others. The former kept me happy that a band I love is still producing great stuff, the latter reminded me of 6 years ago, and made me want to go goth clubbing again and wear ridiculous hair extensions!
* Gary Numan- I could probably have included this in Music, but I bought tickets to see Gary Numan at Nottingham’s Rock City in December! He’s easily one of the greatest performers I’ve ever seen live and I know it’s going to be amazing!
* Shopping – Well, online shopping. I have some new winter basics on the way to me, so I don’t have to keep washing and re-wearing the same two cardigans over and over again. I usually love the flexibility of my winter wardrobe but a lot of my warmer items have worn out / faded too much to look good anymore.
* Winning! – I was one of the lucky winners of a Giles Deacon for Cadburys scarf, after devoting a large portion of my afternoon at work to “following” the Caramel Bunny. It was actually rather exciting and I can’t wait to receive my scarf!
* Other – Green tea with honey, afternoon naps, looking forward to my first gingerbread latte of the year, charm bracelets, cheap brightly-coloured scarves, fingerless gloves, the smell of fabric softener, new Doctor Who trailers, being a geek.
What’s making your week sparkle?

Geeks are the best! Although, I haven’t seen Dr. Who… but my friend Victor adores it! :B
Your new phone sounds awesome, and yay Gary Numan!
‘Cars’ is *such* a good song!
I don’t listen to Sonata Arctica, but I have a friend who is a huge fan, so I get where you’re coming from!
It’s weird how even the smallest things from “Other” can make a week sparkle!
Nice blog, These are very pretty inspiring pics
I definetly need to do some more shopping myself…need new shiny wardrope pieces!
I can’t believe there’s a WordPress app for iPone, that sounds freakin awesome!
Hello lovely! Im suuuppppppperrrr excited for this month! The lead up to Christmas, eep, one of my favourite times! And then at the end of January Im off to Japan for the second time! I desperately need shopping money for Summer clothes, it’s starting to heat up like mad here! <3
