Things I Love Thursday

I don’t really like posting one TiLT straight after another without having made any other posts in-between, but I’m working on several at the same time right now, none of which are ready to post. This is, therefore, just a very short TiLT in anticipation of better content to come.

This week I am loving:

* Willpower – To resist snacks and booze, to walk to the bus stop even though I’m feeling like Hell, my willpower seems to have increased over the last few days, and I really hope it continues to do so.

* Work Adjustments – To my own “home” work schedule making it easier for me to get enough studying done, and also changes in the office – someone has been moved further away and although I feel slightly mean saying it, those of us who had to sit near her couldn’t be more pleased.

* Family – I was at a family funeral on Friday and although the occasion itself was sad, it was wonderful to see so many cousins, uncles, aunts, etc. I don’t get to see very often. Plus I then spent the rest of the weekend at my parents’ house enjoying their company, cooking and amazing power shower.

* Other – Remembering to take vitamins and feeling better for it, long discussions on politics, religion, etc. that are truly fascinating, amazing meals out, realising that actually this town isn’t as much of a dead-end as I thought it was, making plans to further my career, my new potato ricer – it makes amazing mash!

What’s making your week sparkle?

  • My willpower is being tested with my current veganism, reading packets of food I’d ordinarily pick up at the store – cows milk is present in the least likely places! Really! & I quite enjoy a good discussion on politics and religion too. So long as those you’re conversing with are intelligent & respectful, talks about this sort of stuff can be really fascinating.

  • oh god, my willpower died this week. seriously. i suck at remembering to take my vitamins so i get children’s gummi chewy ones instead heheh

  • I understand what you mean about the funeral – they can be sad but good at the same time when you get to see the people that you haven’t seen for so long.

Well done on the willpower! I have been struggling on and off with willpower when it comes to food/exercise but also doing pretty well :D
