I’m the same way! I have tons and tons of interests, yet I don’t think someone who reads my blog gets a very complete picture of who I am because I write about so few of them.

@ Harriet – I’m not actually sure I’ll work up the guts to write on anything *too* controvertial, but I intend to at least try

Over the next few months I’m going to try and write a little bit of everything mentioned on the list. Some will work out, some might not, but it’s all worth a go!

Hey, thanks for commenting on my blog – I agree with you on Giles Coren!

I blog about completely incongruous things, the other week I had a style article and an article about BNP appearing on Question Time, another article about the ethics of wearing leather etc.

I think it’s good to write whatever comes into your mind, there’s too many blogs out there that stick to a dull formula!

Interesting thought. I never really blog about anything controvertial, like as you mention politics and feminism. These are both issues very close to my heart but I prefer to keep my blog more about frivolous things! I don’t really know why, probably because I don’t really want to stir up any bad feelings (we all know how easy it is to attract bad attention on the internet!) and I also don’t really feel capable as a writer to cover topics so weighty.

Saying that, I’d love to hear more about that sort of thing from you if you do end up writing it, and I agree, it’s a good idea to challenge yourself!
