Doesn’t it feel like only a couple of years ago when everyone was Millennium crazy? Now the end of the decade is upon us and time has gone by so fast! Back at the turn of the century I was only just starting to really “discover” the Internet, via my parents dial-up connection and the “Bondi Blue” iMac G3s at school – they were so amazing when they arrived! I was 16, and saw in the New Year drinking Bucks Fizz with a friend at a house party thrown by a friend of my parents.
Fast forward to this year and I’m heading to a “snazzy” (the hostesses description) cocktail party with some great friends, my contribution to the proceedings is a bottle of posh vodka and I will be wearing an entirely dry-clean-only outfit (buying my first dry-clean-only some years ago now really felt like a coming of age experience). I’m gearing up to making 2010 my best year ever!
I wasn’t that great at keeping my resolutions in 2009, so I’m taking a different approach this year, but more about that in another post. For now, I hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve and see in 2010 with style! See you on the other side and I hope you don’t feel too bad the morning after!
Where are you spending the last night of the “noughties”?

I always hate New Years. The thought of going out on it anyway which is what all my friends are doing. I can’t wait until I’m a bit older and have my own place so I can host fabulous cocktail parties haha! Your plans sound wonderful. So far I’m just staying in with my boyfriend, hoping that 2010 will be better than 2009. Hope you have a good one, all the best x
It’s so weird thinking about what I was doing at the beginning of this decade. Can’t believe it’s come to an end but I’m so excited about 2010! Your party sounds great fun! Unfortunately I have a cold but I’m going to do my best to stay away and drink buckz fizz anyway, probably while watching Jools Holland! Happy New Year!!
