My 2010 hasn’t had the best of starts, plagued, as I have been, by possibly the most annoying chesty cough I have ever had which made me miss the first three working days of the year (normally I wouldn’t grumble too much about having an excuse to miss work, but really, the timing’s just ridiculous! Plus, the latest WordPress update seems to have killed the visual post editor so I’m having to code an entry for the first time in… years. If this doesn’t work properly, there’s a reason for it! [edit] I have since found out this only seems to be the case in Chrome, so I am now blogging with Firefox! [/edit] There are a lot more things I could complain about too, however this is TiLT, and it’s meant to be about positivity, so on to the good stuff!
* Awesome People – I went to a great New Years party with some of my favourite people, and met a good many more great individuals I’d love to cross paths with again in the future.
* Snow! – Yes, the whole country is complaining about how it’s making them late for work etc. and so could I, but it’s just so pretty! Even an ugly town like the one I live in looks magical when it snows!
* Geekery – I have been ordering PC components as I can finally afford to rescue my poor computer that departed from this mortal realm in late November. It’ll be great to be able to play games again and have access to my full music collection!
* Cats – After spending the Xmas and New Year season with my parents new cat Daisy, I’m now longing for one of my own. She really is the sweetest little furball I’ve ever met, amazingly good-natured and adorably playful – I wanted to steal her! She’s also the reason why I’m still catching up with all the posts in my rss reader, I barely went Online at all whilst I was there because I had a kitty to play with!
* New Stuff! – I haven’t really done sales shopping this year as I’ve spent most of the sales season ill and feeling sorry for myself, however I did get some great books and things for Xmas and I impulse-bought a gorgeous skirt on a pre-Xmas dash into town!
* Other – Cough medicine for helping to keep me sane, My Slanket – great when curled up with a book, hot drinks, hot showers, hot radiators, wooly hats, comfort TV, napping in the afternoon, Nutella, The Internet – it has also helped to keep me sane whilst ill, having a working media centre again so we can continue catching up with TV shows, helping out friends.
What’s made your week sparkle?

Shopping for V-day things = sparklefest.

New Years sounds fun darlin’ X
Heh, I hadn’t even thought about the imminent arrival of Valentines Day!
Glad you had a great new year! And the snow was fun while it lasted
