Sunshine - Yes, it’s still the dead of winter and absolutely freezing outside, but the sun shining through the office windows makes me feel a little happier!
Facebook – Everyone on my friends list has been complaining about it since the new design was rolled out, so I thought it deserved a bit of love! After all, what other free Online service allows you to keep in touch with friends, stalk your exes, find out which Sex and the City girl you are then share that fact with the world (I’m Miranda) and play Bejewelled all on one site?!
That Amazing Feeling – When something I didn’t even know I’d been worried about is sorted out, and it feels like a weight I wasn’t even aware of has been lifted. Fabulous!
Convenience Food – Sure, it’s not exactly healthy and it’s totally lazy, but when your housemate doesn’t know what time he’s coming home from work and it’s your turn to do the cooking this week, quick and easy is brilliant. Plus chicken kievs are so fiddly to make from scratch!
Moving Forward – I’m making lots of plans to get things sorted out so that I’m ready to step up the job hunt when my course is finished. At the moment this area of my life seems reasonably productive, and it couldn’t have come too soon.
Being a Geek – Reading about technology, playing video games, spending far longer than can ever possibly be seen as healthy in front of my computer, accidentally saying “woot” out-loud, as well as declaring someone a “noob” in an offline context, I’m a firm believer in embracing one’s inner nerd!
Other – My collection of cheap fleece blankets, re-runs of House, hot chocolate before bedtime, buying everything on eBay (or so it seems at times!), watching Fight Club on a whim, Green Chartreuse, listening to old “Trad Goth” music, reading the imdb Trivia section for every film I watch, the prospect of finally having a bit of proper “writing time” at the weekend.
