Things I Love Thursday

Sorry about the silence, I’ve had a strangely writers’ block-y, uninspired couple of weeks, but I’m hoping the influx of posts from all the fashion shows etc. will inspire me soon.

This week I love:

* Scott Pilgrim – I went to see this last night and it was a great film! Awesome geek humour from beginning to end, it had the boy and I laughing out loud!

* Fashion Weeks - Although I can’t attend any of them, I’m loving all the coverage so far and looking forward to even more. I rather enjoy living NYFW vicariously through various blogs!

* Cutting My Own Fringe – In a moment of stupidity and / or bravery I decided to go for it, and it actually came out straight and looks ok! This is something of an achievement for me!

* Crepes – Such a wonder-food! Why is it that wrapping something in a crepe, whether sweet or savoury makes it instantly delicious and infinitely more appealing? Crepes are awesome, I just wish I was better at making them myself.

* The Colour Pink – Any shade (apart from orang-y coral-y pinks which I’m still not that keen on). I never really wore it before because I was always worried it would clash with my hair, but now that’s not an issue I keep finding myself yearning for pink dresses and other such rose-toned loveliness!

* Finally Watching Mad Men – I know, I’m probably the last female blogger on the face of the Earth not to have watched it, but I hurtled through Season 1 in the space of a week and I’m totally and utterly hooked. I’ll have caught up with the rest of the world soon enough, I can’t stop watching it!

* Other – Deliciously sour and refreshing green apples, Watching The Guild before work each Wednesday, My hair when it behaves itself, This video, Collecting free samples, Clothes that smell of fabric conditioner.

What’s making your week sparkle?

If it makes you feel any better, I’ve never even HEARD of Mad Men, never mind actually watching it!

  • Some genuinely wonderful blog posts on this internet website , regards for contribution.

  • I am all new to the blog world and at the moment I wonder what blogging system is best? Some bloggers have warmly recommended me to try out WordPress. Do you personally think the latest release of Blog Engine is better?

  • A friend of mine recommended me to check out your website two weeks ago, since we both enjoy the same stuff (yeah we’re close friendz, similar heads, and it has been 38 yearz) and I’ve got to say that im really stunned. We both were considering to start a similar site like yours, however, we had some problems. 1st, neither of us is a technology savvy individual, secondly, we dont really know where to start… i know alot of people managed to get their dotcoms on the Internet just recently (due to cheap prices, and so on) but we are still having struggles. I would majorly appreciate it if you recommend us a place to begin from, because we don’t have an idea lol. Yeah it sucks being 40 year old internet-literates.. or should I say DOTCOM literates?
